Kurt J. Kloehn, P.E.

President

Kurt has 27 years of experience at Baisch and a strong background in process engineering. As President, Kurt’s primary role is to lead the operations and strategic direction of the firm. He also serves as Principal-in-Charge of many of the firm’s projects. Gary J. Bosar, P.E.

Vice President

Gary has 22 years of experience at Baisch. As Vice President, Gary is well-versed in engineering design criteria for process related industries. He specializes in technically challenging projects with particular emphasis in pulp and paper and the biofuels and bioenergy industries. Keith A. Piepenburg, P.E.

Principal, Process Department Manager

With 33 years of experience at Baisch, Keith serves as Principal and Manager of the Process Department. His responsibilities in this role include consulting with clients on strategic planning, plant audits for due diligence, supervising design efforts, project management, analyzing vendor proposals, and making recommendations for equipment purchase. John M. Forster, P.E.

Principal, Process Control Department Manager

John has 24 years of experience at Baisch and specializes in the design, installation, and start-up of instrumentation and control systems. As Principal and Process Control Department Manager, John’s responsibilities include researching and specifying field and in-line instrumentation, preparing instrument location layouts, developing engineering packages for purchasing and installing distributed control systems, and configuring DCS and PLS-based control systems. Gregory A. Lenz, P.E.

Vice President, Civil / Structural / Architectural Department Manager

Greg has 34 years of experience at Baisch and specializes in building structure design, equipment foundation design, and material handling and support system modifications. As Vice President and Civil / Structural Department Manager, Greg’s responsibilities include overseeing the production of construction drawing packages, which include details for demolition, new framing and building requirements, and equipment foundations; assembling contract documents; writing and compiling construction specifications; and preparing cost estimates and schedules. Principal, Project Architect

Lee has 21 years of experience at Baisch and serves as Project Architect on a wide range of commercial and industrial projects. James W. Thunes, P.E.

Principal, Structural Engineer

With 14 years of experience at Baisch, Jim’s expertise includes leading structural efforts for process buildings and heavy foundations. His detailed engineering work includes tissue machines, retaining walls, brace frame steel buildings, rigid frame steel structures, floor slabs, heavy equipment foundations, and building renovations.
