Baisch Engineering provides full-service capability to the pulp and paper industry through our four engineering disciplines: process, civil/structural/architectural, electrical, and instrumentation and process controls.

Our project experience is vast, and includes installation of new paper machines, paper machine relocations, major paper machine rebuilds, and recycled fiber and de-inking systems, plus over 2,500 other diverse maintenance and capital expansion projects.

Baisch has experience with a wide variety of paper grades including tissue, coated and uncoated fine papers, boxboard, and corrugated packaging. We have applied current technology for recycling across a broad cross section of post-consumer and post-industrial wastepaper to manufacture a variety of brown and white grades.

Process Engineering
Among Baisch’s greatest strengths is our process expertise. We have the unique ability to evaluate technological alternatives and assess their impact on existing equipment and processes.

Key to our productivity is our ability to plan and execute with attention to detail and to anticipate interferences. Our detailed contractor-oriented drawings are easily bid and efficiently built.

Civil / Structural / Architectural
Baisch provides site development services, building design, and structural expertise for new and rebuilt paper machines, recycled fiber systems, and material storage warehouses, as well as foundations for all types of major process equipment.

Our strength rests in our ability to document and creatively retrofit existing structures to allow for installation of new equipment and processes.

Electrical
Our comprehensive electrical engineering capability includes design of power distribution and paper machine drive systems, associated motor controls, lighting, and utilities.

Baisch has unique expertise in AC sectional electric drives and all generations of DC drives. We also have extensive experience interfacing drives of various ages and different manufacturers that we encounter during rebuilds.

Instrumentation and Process Controls
Baisch is at the forefront of applying state-of-the-art instrumentation and process control systems to the full spectrum of our projects. Properly applied industry-proven measurement and control devices are the basis of an accurately controlled process. Baisch has extensive experience in the design and development of successful process control schemes.

We design, specify, program, and configure PLC systems, distributed control systems (DCS), and graphic interfaces from numerous manufacturers. We regularly interface various control systems into a single, integrated control system.
